Thank you again Jill for this amazing story. But if I can save even one life then that's all that matters. I am on the organ donor list, I have been for 10 years now. So it's very important to me that there are more organ donors out there. However in time my health will decline and I may need new organs. I'm not on the transplant list, and I am very well for someone with my condition. Not only did it make me feel better about myself, Jill has brought awareness to the fact that we need organ donors. I want to thank Jill Mansell for writing this book. It is so beautiful that it will leave an ache in your heart.
The story focuses on 6 main characters and I don't want to give anything away but this story is extraordinary. She is on the transplant list just waiting for the call. Hallie is in her late twenties, slowly dying. I found myself tagging pages where I could relate to certain situations and feelings, I would say to myself, " yes I know how you feel" or "story of my life" I knew reading this would be hard, a lot of the issues Hallie had I could relate to. We have to live with the idea that we may die young, daily medication and treatments and the never ending dilemma of coughing. We both have Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening condition that affects mainly the lungs and digestive system. I picked up this book personally because of the main character and I having a common issue.
I don't even know if anyone will read it. This will probably be the longest review I have ever written.
